Manor House Renovation

Our client enjoys frequent visits from their many grandchildren—who span a wide range of ages.  We designed a beautiful bedroom that’s both feminine and masculine, both playful enough for little ones and serious enough for when they reach college.  Swapping the standard twin beds in favor of two custom, full-size canopy beds, we are able to accommodate toddlers, teenagers, and even young adults.  The room is perfectly symmetrical—each bed getting a great dresser at it’s foot for those longer stays. It’s bright and cheerful—and of course supremely comfortable—as much as it is charming and timeless. We’ve heard that the grandkids are giving rave reviews!

Our team enjoys decorating several of our client’s homes for the holidays. It was hard to think of a more beautiful space than this room we designed to elegantly incorporate some antiques, which were reupholstered and reinvigorated—surrounded by the most stunning hand-painted wallpaper the wraps the room in one pastoral scene. Our challenge was to match the easy elegance of the space with Christmas decorations that spoke perfectly to the furnishing and architecture. We used heaps of magnolia garland and wreaths, simple beeswax candles, the homeowner’s collection of Spode in combination with Italian dishware with a woodland motif, plaid and velvet ribbon, glass ornaments, crystal garland, candlesticks, and stemware. It’s the perfect harmony of interior decor and festive, elegant Christmas. It’s a timeless approach that would feel welcoming and warm for generations of family.
